Indian men’s head coach Gautam Gambhir has headed to France for a family holiday, accompanied by his wife Natasha and their two daughters, Aazeen and Anaiza. Gambhir embarked on the trip after India clinched the 2025 Champions Trophy, securing their third triumph in this prestigious tournament, following victories in 2002 and 2013.
On March 9, India defeated New Zealand by four wickets at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in the final to lift the trophy. This holiday comes as a well-earned break for the former Indian batter, following a busy international cricket schedule. He is now set to enjoy quality time with his family in the French countryside.
India also secured back-to-back ICC titles, having won the Men’s T20 World Cup the previous year in the West Indies and the United States. Gambhir, who faced pressure after India’s loss in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia, delivered a remarkable response by guiding India to victory in the Champions Trophy.

Last year, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) won the Indian Premier League (IPL) under Gambhir’s mentorship. Following this outstanding achievement, Gambhir was appointed head coach of the Indian team, succeeding Rahul Dravid after the T20 World Cup.
To celebrate the Indian team’s stellar performance in Dubai, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced a generous prize of Rs 58 crore. India finished at the top of Group A, securing wins over Bangladesh, Pakistan, and New Zealand.
In the semifinals, they overcame Australia and narrowly defeated New Zealand in the final. Currently, the Indian cricketers are participating in the Indian Premier League (IPL) with their respective franchises.
The IPL will begin on March 22 with a clash between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
